Woman jailed after fleeing from MCSO, arrest was on her “bucket list”


MONROE COUNTY, Fla. — A 19-year-old Homestead girl was once arrested Thursday morning after fleeing from a Deputy and professing that obtaining arrested was once on her bucket record.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), the girl recognized as Janiya Shaimiracle Douglas was once charged with fleeing and eluding.

Deputies noticed a Toyota sedan dashing and riding recklessly southbound on Card Sound Road round 7:47 a.m. and pursued the car.

According to MCSO, the Toyota didn’t forestall and persisted southbound till in spite of everything preventing on the 3-way intersection at County Road 905.

The suspect instructed deputies that obtaining arrested was once on her bucket record since highschool.

Douglas was once taken to the Monroe County prison.
