Met Office weather warning: Major snow alert as whole of UK facing storm disruption | Weather | News

The storm, which has already resulted in two deaths due to falling trees and thousands of homes losing power, will continue to rage on into the weekend. The Met updated its website just after 10am on Saturday to issue warnings of further disruption up and down the country into Sunday morning.

A ‘Yellow’ warning for both ice and wind has been issued for Saturday across most of the UK.

This means high winds may cause some disruption to travel, as well as further damage.

The Met has also extended its warning into Sunday morning, noting that “icy stretches [are] likely to form quickly Saturday evening”.
