Blackpool FC buy almost 100 acres of land for new training centre

Blackpool Football Club have agreed to shop for virtually 100 acres of land for a brand new coaching centre.

The web site for the Championship membership’s new base is situated alongside Garstang Road and is bordered through the Grange Park Estate and Baines School.

The Seasiders have stated the ability will area a “bespoke building” with converting, scientific, training, health and schooling spaces.

Initially with six grass pitches, one full-size synthetic pitch and a lined synthetic space, the web site shall be designed for probably the most pitches to be a display pitch for building and under-18 video games.

“A small number of preferred locations were then scrutinised and after careful deliberation this site, for first-team and academy use, presented a superb location to deliver the environment that Blackpool Football Club needs to progress.

“The membership has already performed the desired pre-application making plans conferences with Blackpool and Wyre Councils and can now adopt the remainder of the desired paintings in an effort to put up the making plans software on the earliest alternative.

“The club has also been fortunate to meet with local leaders and local MPs, who unanimously supported our plans.

“During the months forward, we can interact with the entire native communities and stakeholders to make sure that the Planning Application is a hit once practicable.”
