JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bartram Trail reached the 3rd spherical of the state playoffs for the primary time since 2015 with a dominant 5-0 win over Apopka within the Region 1-7A semifinals on Friday evening.
The Bears (21-8) will host Hagerty (16-11) in Tuesday evening’s regional ultimate for a berth within the state ultimate 4. Kolt Myers, Alex Lodise and Justin Nadeau all homered for the Bears and blended to pressure in all 5 Bartram runs. Ashton Pocol (6.1 IP, 4 Ks) was once dominant, scattering two hits.
First Coast’s dream season ended with a 10-0 loss to Pace in a recreation that was once not on time hours via climate. The Buccaneers hadn’t received a playoff recreation since 1999 ahead of their victory over Tate on Tuesday. First Coast’s season ends at 16-9.
Columbia knocked off Mosley 5-2 to advance to a Monday evening regional ultimate towards Tallahassee Lincoln (12-17).
Fort White is headed to the state semifinals after edging Lafayette 3-2 within the regional finals. Dylan Lovelace and Tucker Hardee drove in runs for the Indians and Jonathan Fischer fired a whole recreation with 4 strikeouts for Fort White. The Indians went forward with two runs within the best of the 6th. The Indians will play within the state semis on Wednesday.
